The Musicology is the premiere school of music for guitar, drums and bass guitar serving the San Antonio, Texas and surrounding areas. Our instructors our professional working musicians who have made their living touring, performing and recording on regional, national and international levels.

This saves our students time and money as one family can sign up for lessons on multiple instruments on the same day. Our students ages range from 8 – 80 years young! It’s never to late to pick up an instrument.

We are easily located off of 410 and I10. Just off Fredericksburg Rd! Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and shopping close by.

Our instructors are very unique professional musicians ranging from a Grammy Award winning musician, a student of the Musicians Institute of Technology California (P.I.T.) and an instructor to high profile names, such as the San Antonio Spurs.

We teach a wide range of musical styles from rock, country, blues, pop and more. We also incorporate music theory in lessons to show how your favorite songs utilizes theory in modern music.

2:30-7:30pm Monday – Friday
1:30-6:00pm Saturday
10:30am-3:00pm Sunday

6. Fully Stocked Lesson Studio
Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for lessons, including guitar amps, stereos, electric drums, piano and more. All you need to bring is your instrument. We have invested thousands of dollars on our studio to offer everything needed.
7. Comfortable waiting room for parents
Instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, someones kitchen, or in your car in front of someone’s house, our clients enjoy a spacious, professional waiting room with Free Wi-Fi, magazines, television and ice cold water. Or if you prefer you can sit in on their lesson anytime you like.
8. Month to month lessons – NO LONG TERM CONTRACTS
Our school does not require semester minimums, yearly membership fees or even application fees. Every student here is on a month to month basis.
9. In house recording studio
A full recording studio is available should you find the need to put your musical ideas onto a recording or CD!
10. Unique recital opportunities
Our recitals are a little different and alot more exciting than most music schools. They range from doing a halftime show at a Silver Stars game or sitting in with the instructors local band at an actual gig! We will also be doing some traditional recitals as well.
*Voice lessons are taught by Certified Speech Level Singing Instructor, Jane Jenkins, who is an independent instructor NOT contracted through The Musicology.

Are private lessons available for evening or weekend classes?
Yes, we have lessons available in the evening and weekends. Times would depend on your instructor
WitH groupon, is there any schedule limitations? Prefer evening classes around 6???
Evenings are available, it just depends on your instructor as to which days are open. Each instructor handles their own schedule and are very flexible in accommodating our clients needs.
